Does an SLC entry include accommodations?
What if I can’t attend the entire event but still want to participate? Can I arrive late and/or leave early?
While an SLC entry does not include room and hospitality accommodations, SLC has additional packages including accommodations or special hotel rates. Please note, these special rates are only available to confirmed participants in the Sports Legends Challenge and their guests.

A number of activities will be held throughout the event specifically designed to provide participant’s personal interaction time with the Sports Legends. For example, the Sports Legends will serve as team captains for each of the 100 player teams, participate in a "Meet the Legends" event, take part in various photo and autograph opportunities, host Q&A sessions and join participants in a variety of other special events.

Who is the SLC tournament director?
The Sports Legends Challenge is a team format event in which 25 teams will be established. Each team will consist of no more than 100 players with one Sports Legend serving as captain for each team. One of the Poker Pros will also be assigned to each team to serve as the team’s coach for the No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em competition. On the first day of the event, all participants will attend an exciting “Draft Party” where, in the atmosphere of a professional sports draft, participants will be randomly assigned to the Sports Legends’ teams.
Participants will have the opportunity to compete in a wide range of daily tournaments, including No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em, Blackjack, Slots, Golf and more, over the four days of the Sports Legends Challenge. There will be championship events for each Tournament competition. The grand finale of the competition, the Sports Legends All-Star Poker Challenge, featuring a No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em competition, will be nationally televised on Fox Sports Net.
At the conclusion of the main poker event, the Sports Legends All-Star Poker Challenge will take place. The competition (composed of 25 two-person teams) will feature each Sports Legend along with the top 25 No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em finishers. In addition, each of the two-person teams will be assigned a professional poker player as a coach. This will be a winner-take-all event.
During the Sports Legends Challenge, those that enjoy golf will have the opportunity to play in one or more daily golf tournaments with cash prizes of up to $100,000.
Up to $10,000,000 US in cash prizes may be awarded.

Once team assignments are made at the Draft Party, participants will not be permitted to switch teams.
This event is primarily geared toward those who consider themselves to be avid sports fans and competent in the various tournaments in which they decide to compete. Players of all skill levels are welcome.
Robert Daily is the SLC tournament director. Robert was the 2006 tournament director for the World Series of Poker tournament and is a former Harrah’s executive.

Sports Legends Challenge will accept checks, money orders or wire transfers. These are standard payment options for events that involve casino gaming. Payment details are available on the Official Entry Form which can be emailed to you and is available in the “Purchase Entry” section of this website.
Entries to the Sports Legends Challenge are transferable up to 30 days prior to the start of the event. All entry transfers must be approved by Sports Legends Challenge and communicated by the original registered entry owner via a notarized written document sent to Sports Legends Challenge. Entries may not be resold. The SLC reserves the right to void, without refund, any entries posted for resale.
If the event is cancelled by SLC, a full refund for the purchase price of the entry will be provided.
